Dear Padel Nation,
We just saw yet another big month in the U.S. padel world, and some of the more notable headlines and happenings included:
The 2026 U.S. Open taking place at Padel Haus in Brooklyn early in the month, with some familiar names coming out on top in both the men’s and women’s D1 draws…
The International Padel Federation (FIP) releasing its World Padel Report 2026, which shows that the U.S. is now home to 1,160 padel courts and ranks 19th among all countries in terms of court count (just ahead of Saudi Arabia and just behind Brazil)…
FIP declaring October 20 to be World Padel Day and USA Padel calling out October as the first-ever National Padel Month…
The Pro Padel League (PPL) announcing that it was relocating its fourth — and final — event of the 2026 regular season from Mexico to Las Vegas and adding MGM as a title sponsor, and…
The U.S. National Cat Libres Padel Teams (more on what exactly that means here) closing out the month by bringing home two bronze medals from the Pan American Open Categories 2026 competition in Asunción, Paraguay.
Meanwhile, there were plenty of other more U.S. specific stories we covered across the course of the month, all of which you can dive into directly below.
As always, thanks for reading — and play up!

««« Meet the Duo Driving U.S. Collegiate Padel »»»
After dropping some some very big — and shall we say legendary — partnership news in late September that promises to help propel U.S. collegiate padel to all new highs , regular Padel Nation contributor Scott Matulis sat down with American Collegiate Padel League (ACPL) co-founders Matthew Jenkins and Antonio Goes last month for the latest installment of our “How I Became Obsessed With Padel” article series.
««« An Historic Two-For-One For U.S. Padel »»»
Yet another first for U.S. padel occurred last month in Utah when SLC Padel Club and Conquer Padel Club chose to co-host a 250-level USA Padel Event, and we spoke with the two clubs’ respective founders to learn more about what led to this unique partnership. Here’s what we found out.
««« New Padel Pro-Am Coming to Miami »»»
On the other side of the country — and competition spectrum — leading padel lifestyle apparel brand (and Padel Nation preferred partner) GLDN PNT announced a first-of-its-kind pro-am series that they’ll soon be launching, with the first edition taking place in sunny South Florida next month. You can find all the need-to-know details right here.
««« Six New U.S. Padel Clubs to Check Out »»»
Last month, our most-read (and -shared and -liked) article by far was this one, perhaps because it gives you a behind-the-scenes look at six new clubs that are about to bring 32 new padel courts to a total of four states, including Louisiana — which will get its first-ever dedicated padel club when New Orleans Padel Club (pictured at the top of this round-up) officially opens for business in the coming weeks and which I’ll be playing at early next month.
««« Pioneers and Empire Builders »»»
While a small handful of operators around the country are finally start to make good on their plans to build-out multiple padel clubs across the U.S., another small handful of operators continue to be the one and only places to play padel in their respective states (for now, anyway). Last month we took an in-depth look at both (which you can read more about via the links above).
««« What’s Driving the Dallas Padel Boom? »»»
Slowly but surely (though perhaps somewhat quietly), Dallas is becoming a notable U.S. padel hub. So, on a vacation to the DFW area last month, regular Padel Nation contributor Scott Matulis sat down with a handful of the people responsible for the growth of the sport over the past decade or so to learn about padel’s past, present, and future in the city. Here’s what he learned.
… and that’s a wrap — until next month, at least!

Oh, and one other thing… my brand-new 352-page padel book was just recently published. So, if you enjoy the work I’m doing in the U.S. padel space, you can support me by ordering a copy (or two!) online at Amazon or Barnes & Noble.
Or if you’re a club owner and you’d want to carry a handful of copies in your pro shop for “padel curious” people who are interested in trying the sport out but don’t know quite where to start, let me know and I can connect you with my publisher’s wholesale department.
Many thanks in advance!
